What inspired you to launch your own website?
The need for lower priced wedding accessories, weddings can be very costly.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
I launched my first website last year and it was for my party planning business.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I named my website Gia's wedding store after my daughter.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
We offer lower prices than other stores for same or similar items. You can also contact us with any questions about your wedding or event.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To grow to be the largest.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
I know that time and money are a must to succeed, at the end it's all worth it.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would import directly.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Absolutely.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Shipping to Canada. I want to provide shipping to our neighbors and didn't know it would be so expensive to them.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Advertising.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Emailing future brides.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
It's been easier than I thought.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
We've been up for 4 months and we will go on.
