Say I Do Interview

By Interviewer at 12/24/07 01:33

Name of your website?

Say I Do

Your name?

Winnie

Your Location (city, etc)

Kuala Lumpur

Please give us a short summary of your website.

Say I Do is a collective and continuous effort in bringing you endless possibilities of creating your dream wedding. From browsing our list of carefully selected Wedding Service Providers across Malaysia to owning your FREE Personal Wedding Website, we cater this for the convenience at your fingertips.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Say I Do is a project born out of a shared passion among a team of designers, writers and individuals who simply love weddings. So whether you are the bride or groom to be, newlywed or have a soft spot for weddings and full of ideas and imaginations to feed the world, Say I Do is here to share!

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

This is our first major project, officially launched in December 2007.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Say I Do – the name says it all.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Our priority is on creating more benefits and wedding guides for our Members. We have also launched Malaysia’s FIRST custom-designed Wedding Website tool for couples, and it is totally FREE!

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Definitely one to keep as the site’s potential is endless!

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

We will achieve balance once Say I Do is maturing. Ultimately, we measure success by the amount of satisfaction gained among our team and Members.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

We would continue to explore our creative ideas and expand on our technical capabilities in an effort to provide more sophisticated tools for our Members.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

That is a vision we all hope for! When that happens, our next mission is to expand and diversify our team.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Nothing we cannot deal with at this moment, including team quarrels over what is best for the site!

What has been your biggest challenge?

To be different from other similar sites.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Word of mouth.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It is still too early to know how the response is going to be – so we are still waiting to be surprised!

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

This has been our year long commitment and we have just officially launched Say I Do in December 2007. It is not something we would easily give up on as we have so much to offer.

What is your website address?
