The Wedding Guide has all the answers to all the questions that are asked everytime a wedding is hosted. From banquet facilities to honeymoons, flowers to invitations, photography, DJ's, beauty,hotels and moe, we have it all! We are a local business.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
The bride and groom today are internet babies and they get all their information on the net.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
1994- It was The Wedding Guide, Windsor/Essex County but brides didn't have computers.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I am part of a franchise of over 100 cities in North America.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
We are interactive, have all the wedding planning tools and answer all the questions when planning a wedding.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To continue running the business. We started in 1991.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
It works well.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I wouldn't change a thing.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes, absolutely because of the way it has been designed.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
none.
What has been your biggest challenge?
designing the look of the site.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
linking to other sites and certainly word of mouth.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
It has met my expectations.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
16 years. I will continue to run the business.
