An alternative to all the usual cheesy wedding photos. Edward Olive artist and creative photographer offers an exclusive service of natural, artistic reportage style fine art photos for high class clients.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
I saw the rubbish wedding "photographers" were doing and thought why not offer people something really cool and beautiful instead... the market is wide open. Talented photographers in Spain refuse to do weddings they think it is below them. That just makes no sense. Wedding photos should be beautiful and full of emotion.

2002. My web as English actor in Spain
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Pure marketing key words
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
Art, talent, class, elegance. Quite simply.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To make people happy and to bring tears to their eyes... and to make myself a successful VIP photographer at the same time.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
It doesn't yet. Until i am famous, many people will not "understand" what i do.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Nothing i would keep it real.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
No. I would become more exclusive. People would need to book my wedding photos before their venue to ensure the date.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
I have spent a small fortune on cameras when the local wedding photographers spend peanuts. It made no commercial sense.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting people to understand that they can have art instead of chintz. Many people actually want cheesy wedding photos.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Buidling a quality site with intersting content so Google ranks me.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I still receive emails haggling over prices. I thought people would see the difference and jump at the chance to have what i do.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
6 moths now. it will run forever

When the artist is famous.
